Solar Way Forward offers PV 200 classes  at Ohlone Community College in Newark, California.  This 5-day intensive course is led by Hal Aronson and Mike Strykowski, who have decades of experience in solar and in teaching it.  The course is very hands-on.

On day one you learn all about DC electricity and practice it with solar panels.  By the middle of day two you have racked up a string of solar panels and mounted them on a roof structure and tied them into an invertor and then into the AC main panel.  By the end of the course you have learned how to size systems, design them, choose the proper electrical equipment from inverters and DC disconnects to wire and breakers.  The course is NABCEP certified.  For more information, contact Chris Warden, Director of Community Education at Ohlone Community College.  When you sign up you will receive a packet to prep you for the course so that you can make the most out of the time you are in the class.
